Aim for the ○○

The Zanzas Labyrinth’s Infinite Rock Mountains.

Stella and the others were finally about to step into the unexplored area, the home of the Thunder Spirits. They were in the safe zone just before the Thunder Spirits’ dwelling. They lined up in a straight vertical line in front of a small rock. Warp balls bounced past on both sides. They made that relaxing sound that could make you lose focus.

*Boing, boing*

Although no one had been hit by the warp balls, the elite adventurers were quite tired. Especially the light blue magician, who was breathing heavily.

“Zee, zee…” (Blue Mage)

“This is the last safe zone. From here on, you cannot rest until the Thunder Spirits’ home. Please catch your breath.” (Stella)

“Y-yes… but Stella-sama goes so easily. She’s not even out of breath…” (Blue Mage)

“W-well… it’s just practice.” (Stella)

“As expected! And Wood-sama is also so light on his feet… It doesn’t seem like he’s a Treeman at all.” (Blue Mage)

“Ugo Ugo! Am I doing well?” (Wood)

“I trained him myself. After all, he can walk as fast as a carriage. His stamina is limitless in sunlight. Plus, he’s obedient and quickly learns and corrects his movements. He’s amazing…!” (Stella)

“Y-you sure talk fast…” (Blue Mage)

“…Ah, sorry. I was happy to be entrusted by Elt-sama to train him.” (Stella)

The elite adventurers froze at those words. The light blue magician looked at Stella and Wood with disbelief. The elite adventurers had only heard that Wood was Stella’s companion. Of course, based on his previous actions, they understood that. However, they never expected that she was “entrusted” by the great noble Elt. That meant failing this mission would be the same as bringing shame to a great noble. Based on the elite adventurers’ experience, that was very bad.

Thinking that far made their faces turn pale. About as pale as when they saw the fluffy Cockatrice.

“…Uu…” (Blue Mage)

“W-what’s wrong? Your complexion suddenly turned bad.” (Stella)

“N-no… I thought Wood-sama was created by some very famous magician…” (Blue Mage)

“Ah, ah… it’s okay. Elt-sama is kind and a good person. He even trained with me.” (Stella)

“Is there really such a noble? Not just abandoning him?” (Blue Mage)

“Yes, Elt-sama is not that kind of person…” (Stella)

“Ugo Ugo! He thinks about many things!” (Wood)

“…That’s a very good noble.” (Blue Mage)

While talking like this, the elite adventurers’ breathing also settled.

“Then, shall we go to the unexplored area?” (Stella)

“Yes!” (All)

When they arrived at the Thunder Spirits’ dwelling, the warp balls disappeared. Instead, monsters about the size of baseballs appeared, moving bolts of lightning. This Thunder Spirits’ home was completely different from the previous rock mountains. It was surrounded all around by crystals. The elite adventurers were overwhelmed by the scenery.

“…It’s my first time here, but it’s beautiful.” (Blue Mage)

“Yes, this place is nice too…” (Stella)

They cautiously advanced among the sparkling crystals. Stella and Wood had already taken out their mithril rods. After a few minutes, the moving lightning appeared. It floated in the air, crackling with electricity.

“…They’re here.” (Stella)

This moving lightning was not a living monster. It simply charged at intruders who entered the area. Stella quickly raised her rod. After days of training and advice from Elt, she had mastered a particular form. It was the one-legged batting stance. Balancing on one leg, it was a high-difficulty hitting style. However, Stella had acquired it thanks to her strong physical ability.

“I will show you…!” (Stella)

The moving lightning recognized Stella and charged while discharging electricity. Its speed was 150 kilometers per hour, comparable to a professional baseball pitcher’s pitch speed.

“I can see it…!!” (Stella)

Stella shifted her body and swung fully, hitting the moving lightning. She perfectly struck the center.

*Ka-kiin…!*

The moving lightning was powerfully repelled and shattered against the crystal.

““Ooh!!”” (All)

“Phew, first one down… but more are coming.” (Stella)

“Ugo Ugo! Next is me!” (Wood)

“Yes, let’s cover each other and keep hitting!” (Stella)

Wood eagerly held his rod. The elite adventurers prepared their magic and formed a formation to intercept any misses. Meanwhile, Stella recalled a phrase Elt had said during training. Elt mentioned that those who swing a rod aim for a certain realm. It was a word she had hardly heard, so it left a strong impression. She didn’t understand the meaning well but liked how it sounded.

So, she said it aloud.

“Aim for Koshien…!” (Stella)

Healberry Village, the Large Tree Tower.

The sweets-eating gathering was progressing without issues. There were just some Dryads’ flowerpots lined up on the table.

Yes… that is no problem. It is simply a cultural difference. If asked whether it is good or bad, it is definitely good. After all, the Dryads are happy.

“Nya… please have one, nya.” (Naru)

“Yay! Munch munch…!” (Tetetoka)

Naru fed grass dumplings to Tetetoka. Of course, the Nyaff tribe were short. They too climbed onto the table and fed grass dumplings to the Dryads. It was quite a lively sweets gathering. It couldn’t be helped since the Dryads were inside flowerpots. They could reach grass dumplings by putting their arms out of the pots, but that was apparently improper for Dryads.

“Eating grass dumplings while fully inside a flowerpot is the best!” (Tetetoka)

“I-is that so…” (Elt)

“Yes! This is what luxury is!” (Tetetoka)

“Uh, yeah… maybe…” (Elt)

Grass dumplings were definitely delicious.

*Munch munch*

The prepared black tea had a refreshing clarity. It matched perfectly.

“Would you like some more tea?” (Anaria)

Anaria called out with a teapot.

“Ah, thank you. I will.” (Elt)

“…I didn’t expect this to happen…” (Anaria)

“Well… they’re enjoying it, so it’s fine, right?” (Elt)

The Nyaff tribe seemed to enjoy it too. It might just be because it was a curious sight, and they were excited. Around here, the Nyaff tribe tends to try things first. That was actually quite helpful.

“…But when comparing tastes, the Dryads’ grass dumplings are delicious.” (Elt)

*Chewy.*

Yes, just slightly… very slightly so.

“It must be the difference in experience…” (Elt)

“That’s not true! Elt-sama, you’ll become a grass dumpling master soon!” (Tetetoka)

“Hmm… I hope so.” (Elt)

“Elt-sama becoming a grass dumpling master…!?” (Tetetoka)

“Well, including skill growth.” (Elt)

Tetetoka happily munched with a satisfied face.

Hmm… maybe I should have her try mine too.

“Would you like to try the grass dumplings I made?” (Elt)

“Yes! I can eat as many grass dumplings as you want!” (Tetetoka)

“All right…” (Elt)

Munch… munch!

“Delicious! Almost Dryad level!” (Tetetoka)

Tetetoka smiled brightly and gave her approval.

Just seeing that face made me happy too.

“Hmm, becoming a grass dumpling master might be close.” (Elt)

“Yes! Let’s all aim to be grass dumpling masters!” (Tetetoka)

“Yeah, it’s nice to do things like this sometimes.” (Elt)

“Hehe, let’s do it again!” (Tetetoka)

Thus, the sweets gathering ended successfully. Both Dryads and the Nyaff tribe seemed to have enjoyed it. By the way, after the gathering ended, I did not forget to add a note on the signboard at the village entrance. Somehow, I thought it would be good to inform visitors.

“Please do not mind if there are flowerpots on the tables.”

Hi there. Just so you know that’s not official illustration. I basically use chatgpt to come out with the image. I had to use 2 pictures as references and yet, chatgpt couldn’t get it right on the left leg part.
