The Tadont couple rescue team was divided into a shopping group and a stay-behind group. Since buying a large amount of food at once would arouse suspicion, they could only buy enough food for two days per shopping trip. Therefore, they had to go out to procure food quite frequently. This time, the shopping group consisted of Kanna and the 4th squad unit, Alma. The stay-behind group included Yuna, Yuria, Bal, Lumin, and the 5th squad member, Martina.

The guards were using their shields to push back the protesting residents.

“As of now, the slums are sealed off until the investigation is complete. This is an order from the Captain of the Royal Guard. No one is allowed to pass.” (Guard)

Beyond the completely blocked entrance, guarded by a large number of soldiers, thousands of troops were breaking down doors and destroying the shacks and dilapidated houses in the slums.
