Got Caught Up in Game’s Scenario as Expected

“This… is it really okay?” (Harold)

“Of course. It suits you very well.” (Monica)

Monica gave a thumbs-up to me, who was tilting my head uneasily while staring at the mirror.

But, you know… since I regained my memories from my previous life, my personality has been influenced by that. Of course, including various common sense. So, with all these gaudy decorations and these exaggerated shoulder pads, I’m not really fond of this outfit. That being said, this is apparently the formal attire for a goodwill ambassador, so I don’t have much freedom in the matter…

“Re-really, is it okay? Xandra won’t be disappointed?” (Harold)

“Not at all, Milady will surely fall in love with Your Highness all over again.” (Monica)

When I pressed the point, Monica gave me a double thumbs-up this time. Since I kept asking, she seemed a bit exasperated though.

Then.

“Hauuu… It’s always me who gets left behind…” (Casparleague)

“Cas-san. Parties and banquets are not necessarily fun, you know? In fact, you, who can freely enjoy delicious food in this room without any worries, are truly the winner here.” (Monica)

“Really? Th-then, that’s fine!” (Casparleague)

Cas, who had been sulking on the bed, was quickly cheered up by Monica’s sweet talk.

So easy to please. Well, not just Cas, but all the characters in ‘Enhaz’ are pretty easy to sway, really.

“Well, I’ll go pick up Xandra.” (Harold)

“Yes.” (Monica)

“Take care!” (Casparleague)

After being seen off by Monica and Cas, I left the room and knocked on the door of the adjacent room where Xandra was staying.

“Yes, come in.” (Alexandra)

“Excuse me… whoa.” (Harold)

With Xandra’s permission, I opened the door, and what entered my field of vision was her beautiful figure dressed in a black gown.

Of course, I could tell she had chosen it with my hair color in mind, but there is something mysterious about her, different from her usual self, and I am completely captivated in an instant, okay?

“Oh… hehe, thank you.” (Alexandra)

“Huh…?” (Harold)

“It seems Haru-sama likes it.” (Alexandra)

Before I could say anything, she thanked me.

Well, she was right.

“Was I that obvious?” (Harold)

“Yes. Besides, I’ve seen a similar look on you during the party at the Marshal Household and the Holy Kingdom’s envoy gathering.” (Alexandra)

Xandra came closer, gently taking my hand in hers with her sapphire eyes moist as she gazed up at me.

This is bad. She’s super cute, and she smells really nice too.

As so, I was captivated by the most beautifully dressed fiancée in the world.

“Preparations are complete, so I’ll guide you.” (??)

A palace servant came to call us.

“Then, shall we go, my precious fiancée?” (Harold)

“Yes… my precious fiancée.” (Alexandra)

Following the servant, we headed to the banquet venue, but…

“Huh? It’s not inside the palace?” (Harold)

“Yes. Today, the banquet will be held in the garden, as a special occasion.” (Servant)

Wow, a banquet under the stars, that’s pretty stylish. But I have a slightly bad feeling about this… haha, surely not, right?

“Haru-sama, I’m looking forward to it.” (Alexandra)

“Yes.” (Harold)

When we arrived at the garden that served as the venue, not only the full moon and stars in the night sky but also the lamps prepared at each table created a very magical atmosphere.

“So beautiful…” (Alexandra)

“Wow…” (Harold)

Xandra muttered softly. I wanted to say that she looked even more beautiful illuminated by the lights, but the problem was, I let out a strange sound for a completely different reason, forgetting even that.

An event from the “Engage Hazard” scenario, specifically in Lizette’s story. It’s the big incident that shakes the very foundations of the Capetien Kingdom, which the protagonist is drawn into after being invited by Lizette. That incident is none other than the ‘Attempted Assassination of King Solomon.’

King Solomon falls unconscious after being poisoned at the banquet, throwing the venue into chaos, and Lizette is framed as the culprit. Of course, this is a false accusation, but because of Lizette’s infamous reputation as a villainess in the Capetien Kingdom, everyone believes without doubt that she is the culprit. However, Wilfred, the protagonist, is the only one who continues to believe in Lizette, and with the help of the other heroines, he intervenes in the incident to clear her name. The culprit? Needless to say, it’s Crown Prince Jean.

Jean takes advantage of Lizette’s bad reputation, framing her for the crime.
In the end, Wilfred clears Lizette’s name, but the truth of the matter is buried in darkness. And with the poisoning having failed, Jean, thinking things won’t progress as planned, launches a coup d’état.

Yeah, as soon as I saw the scene before me, the banquet looked exactly like the illustration from the event, so I understood right away… I mean, just like with Christia’s ‘Saintess Kidnapping Incident’, why do the heroines’ events keep happening, even though the main story of ‘Enhaz’ hasn’t even started yet?  Well, anyhow…

“…I’ll just have to ruin the scenario for the sake of my ‘precious someone’, though.” (Harold)

“Haru-sama…?” (Alexandra)

“Haha, it’s nothing.” (Harold)

I smiled back at Xandra, who was looking at me curiously.
