A week later, as Tyr and his companions had anticipated, the mobilization order arrived. Considering the Warden Household’s ongoing involvement in the development of the Mikanda region, they were assigned the task of providing logistical support to the suppression force. Transporting supplies and repairing weapons for the suppression force could be done by adventurers, so Tyr decided to form the Warden Army with adventurers. The adventurers in the Fourth Town were busy with development projects, and the Second Town, being primarily agricultural, had very few adventurers. Therefore, Tyr contacted Yanna and requested that she gather adventurers from the Third Town.

A week after contacting Yanna, the doors of the First City’s town hall swung open with force.

“Mia, a third-class adventurer and representative of the Third City’s adventurers, reporting for duty! I have brought 100 volunteer adventurers with me!” (Mia)

They arrived sooner than expected. The female adventurer leading the group, Mia, was highly skilled and came with Yanna’s strong recommendation. Despite her youth, Mia was already a third-class adventurer, which was quite an achievement. Although Tyr wasn’t well-versed in adventurer ranks, he knew that Rishu, who had followed Arc from the former Warden territory to become the mayor of the Fourth Town, was considered extraordinary for holding a second-class rank at such a young age.

Tyr immediately greeted the adventurers.

“I am Tyr, the military officer. The Second Town is in the middle of its harvest season, and the Fourth Town is occupied with urban development, so we’ve summoned you, the adventurers of the Third Town. Currently, a peasant rebellion has broken out in a certain part of the kingdom, and the Warden Household has been asked to assist in its suppression. Our mission is to supply the suppression force with necessary provisions. We won’t be participating in the actual battle, so you can rest easy, adventurers.” (Tyr)

Mia stepped forward from the group and responded with an exaggerated salute.

“Understood! While we adventurers may not have ventured far from the Mikanda region, the prospect of seeing new landscapes, meeting new people, and facing unexpected challenges fills us with excitement. Just the thought of crossing the great mountain range that borders Mikanda is enough to make me swoon with anticipation. Tyr-sama! Though this task may be unfamiliar to us adventurers, we may cause you some trouble, but we humbly ask you to teach us the ways of battle from the ground up.” (Mia)

“Uh… Sure, nice to meet you, Mia.” (Tyr)

Tyr was taken aback by how long-winded Mia’s speech was. Behind her, the other adventurers exchanged knowing smiles, as if this was a common occurrence. It seemed that Mia had a reputation for being overly verbose. Tyr wished Yanna had warned him about Mia beforehand.

Regaining his composure, Tyr led the adventurers to the grand hall.

“Alright, first, take a look at this.” (Tyr)

The adventurers gasped in amazement as they turned their eyes to the wall Tyr indicated. There, a highly detailed map of Mikanda was displayed. The map meticulously depicted everything, from the massive mountain ranges to the smallest hills and forests.

“This is…! A map of Mikanda, surrounded by mountains and sea? But what an incredibly detailed map this is. We adventurers usually rely on simple maps and our own experience to navigate, but I’ve never seen a map this well-crafted.” (Mia)

“We have some very talented people here.” (Tyr)

This map, of course, was the work of the Tadont couple. Since arriving in Mikanda, the couple had traveled the region with a small escort, creating detailed maps. This particular map had only recently been completed, and they now had the opportunity to put it to use.

Tyr picked up a long pointer and, like a schoolteacher, tapped the map to indicate the First Town.

“Currently, we are here, in the First Town. There is a pass in the mountains that is the easiest to cross, so we will pass through here to exit the region.”

“Understood. So, where exactly is this peasant rebellion taking place? Considering they’ve requested reinforcements from Mikanda, I assume it must be relatively close to our region?” (Mia)

“Right, take a look at this map next. I apologize for its rough quality.”

Mia’s question was perfectly reasonable.

Tyr pulled out a map that showed the entirety of the kingdom. It was the kind of map used by merchants traveling across the country. It was nowhere near as precise as the ones crafted by the Tadont couple, but it gave a general idea of locations.

“The rebellion is reportedly happening in the western part of the kingdom, which would be the southwest from Mikanda. We’ll find out the exact location once we reach the city where the nobles are gathering. I haven’t been told the exact place yet, and even if I were, I’m not familiar with the names, so it wouldn’t mean much to me.” (Tyr)

Since he couldn’t pinpoint the exact location, Tyr circled a rough area on the map.

“So, it’ll be a surprise when we get there! Wonderful! We adventurers are used to doing the same things day in and day out, so there’s a certain romance in a job like this, where anything can happen!” (Mia)

“Good, good. I’m counting on you all.” (Tyr)

Despite Mia’s lengthy speech, it seemed she was on board. The other adventurers, though they smiled wryly at her endless talking, clearly held her in high regard. It was obvious they had immense trust in her. Well, Tyr thought, he could leave the leadership of the adventurers to her.

With a somewhat quirky but likely capable group at his side, Tyr wasted no time and set off immediately.
