**Today’s Diary**

Today, I went to visit Lamie-senpai to thank her for the sweets from the other day.

At first, I went to the third-year classroom, but since Lamie-senpai is a weirdo who hangs out in the Military Building whenever he gets the chance, admiring his sniper rifle… She’s the epitome of a sniper, so I decided to go to the military branch building instead.

At the entrance of the Military Building, I met a classmate, Bianca, who is also a sniper. Bianca is about the same height as me, with a cool, short hairstyle. Her family has a military background, and her older brother is also a student here.

The reason why many women enroll in this school is because their families are connected to the military. Bianca can be blunt, but she responds normally if you talk to her.

Today, my relationship with Bianca, who was just a classmate, took an unexpected turn.

When I met Bianca at the entrance of the Military Training Building, I said Hi to her.

“Oh, Lux. Good work.” (Bianca)

She replied.

“What brings you here today?” (Bianca)

I told Bianca I was here to thank Lamie-senpai for the sweets, and she gave me an envious look.

“I’m so envious… a present from Lamie-senpai…” (Bianca)

Bianca strongly admired Lamie-senpai and frequently visited her, even without a specific reason.

“Is Lamie-senpai here?” (Lux)

I asked her.

“In her usual room. Senior Saras is also there.” (Bianca)

Bianca replied. She had probably been with Lamie-senpai just before.

I thanked Bianca and we parted ways…

“Aren’t you going home?” (Lux)

But then, she followed me.

“I was planning to, but I thought I’d talk to Lamie-senpai one more time.” (Bianca)

She explained.

“I see.” (Lux)

We walked next to each other and headed to the club leader’s room.

After knocking on the door and hearing Saras-senpai’s voice say “Yes,” and introducing myself, she replied “Come on in”.

“Excuse me,” I said as I entered the room with Bianca.

Saras-senpai continued talking to Bianca.

“Oh, Bianca? Did you forget something? By the way, there’s something I forgot to mention earlier…” (Saras)

As I glanced at her, I thanked Lamie-senpai.

“Lamie-senpai, thank you for the voucher for Todd’s shop. Everyone was really happy about it.” (Lux)

“Is that so? That was a reward for you all, so there was no need to go out of your way to thank me… but I’m glad you enjoyed it. Oh, by the way, it’s a good thing you came. I also had something to discuss with Lux.” (Lamie)

“What is it?” (Lux)

Lamie-senpai stared at me for a moment.

“Would you like to have a duel with me?” (Lamie)

She said.

“Eh!? Lux is going to duel with Lamie-senpai!? Why!? Lux! Why!?” (Bianca)

Bianca was shaking my body as if she was going to bite me.

“Hey! Hey! Bianca, calm down! What’s this ‘duel’ supposed to be?”(Lux)

With Bianca continuing to shake me while shouting, Saras-senpai, who was watching with interest, helped get Bianca off me. Then, Saras-senpai explained the meaning of the ‘duel’ to me. Meanwhile Lamie-senpai waited calmly for Saras-senpai’s explanation.

“A ‘duel’ means a one-on-one match. Unlike personal fights, if you request the instructors to supervise, you can do this sort of thing… However, Lamie? You should know well that if the opponents aren’t of similar skill levels, it might end up being more of a bullying situation.” (Saras)

Then, Bianca also chimed in.

“That’s right, Lamie-neesan! The only people who could fight on equal terms with you in sniping would be Saras-senpai or Reager-senpai, right?” (Bianca)

I see, I understand the meaning of the duel. And I also understand why I’m the only one here that Lamie-senpai mentioned. Just the other day, a friend from Catrap told me, I have to admit that my sniping skills are among the best in the school. And Lamie-senpai was commenting on the match against Zess’ team. In other words, she must have made the suggestion after seeing my sniping.

Having listened silently to Saras and Bianca, Lamie finally spoke up.

“I am fully aware of what Saras is saying. I am making this suggestion with that understanding.” (Lamie)

“…I can’t believe it.” (Saras)

Saras-senpai muttered and her expression was also full of surprise.

“…I don’t get it.” (Bianca)

Bianca said in a squeezed voice.

“I don’t particularly need Bianca’s permission.” (Lamie)

Lamie-senpai said nonchalantly.

Bianca clenched her fists tightly, trembling, and then pointed her finger at me.

“I refuse to accept this! If you want to fight with Lamie-senpai, you’ll have to fight me first!!” (Bianca)

…Um, can I go home now?

“I see, so you were pushed into it and came back.” (Rita)

“Buahahahaha!!” (Lulu)

On the way back from the Military Building, I had come to the instructor’s waiting room where Rita-san was. By the way, the one laughing loudly next to Rita-san is Lulu-sensei, who used to co-teach with Rita-san.

In the end, I was pushed into it by Lamie-senpai and Bianca, and even though I didn’t ask for it, it was decided that if I won against Bianca, I would get the right to challenge Lamie-senpai.

I say it again, even though I didn’t ask for it…

Still, there was one reason why I accepted it. According to Saras-senpai’s explanation, there was a stipulation that the instructor could be requested by the student. So, as a condition, I decided that I would designate the instructor, and that was why I came to consult with Rita-san now.

And Lulu-sensei, who happened to be with Rita-san, seemed to be interfering with Rita-san’s work, or at least that’s what it looked like, but well, they were together.

“Hey, was it Lux? But you’re amazing. I’ve never heard of Lamie challenging someone to a duel!” (Lulu)

Lulu-sensei, who enjoyed seeing me troubled and asking for advice, patted my shoulder and said that.

“Hey, Rita. Is this guy really that amazing? He looks pretty ordinary to me though.” (Lulu)

I decided to ignore Lulu-sensei’s ramblings. I might secretly shoot her with rubber bullets in class someday.

“Hmm, I don’t mind participating, but Lux, could you add one more condition for Lamie and the others?” (Rita)

“Anything for me.” (Lux)

“If you promise not to reveal anything about this duel, whether you win or lose, then I’ll participate.” (Rita)

When Rita-san said this, Lulu-sensei’s eyes widened.

“Hey, hey, that makes it sound like this guy is going to win against Lamie. If Lamie loses, it’ll be a huge fuss. You definitely want to avoid that, but, huh? Do you really think he can win?” (Lulu)

Rita-san looked at Lulu-sensei and said.

“Lamie watched Lux’s competition match. And then challenged him to a duel. Also, I had instructed Lux not to target people in the recent competition. If Lux gets serious, it won’t be a match.” (Rita)

“…” (Lulu)

Hearing Rita-san’s words, Lulu-sensei looked at me again as if to scrutinize.

“Alright, I get it.” (Lulu)

She declared as she placed both hands on her waist.

“I’ll also participate! Be grateful!” (Lulu)

Um, no. I’ll be fine.
