New chapter of Plant Magic Lord is out! (1/2 chapters)
Preparations Completed

The Grand Cathedral.
Stella and her group were diligently engaged in the preparations for the art festival. Dia, holding a branch, gently pressed it into the foundation. A sheet of assembly instructions lay at their feet, and while referring to it, they placed each part precisely where it belonged.
“…Piyo.” (Dia)
A firm push followed. Decisiveness was key. Then, with a soft poke, Dia checked to ensure it would not shift easily. It seemed secure enough. Nana’s mobile floral decoration was progressing smoothly.
“Piyo…!” (Dia)
Push, poke. One secured. Push, poke. Two secured.
The work continued in that rhythm. By yesterday, half had already been completed, including the foundation, so the progress was proceeding comfortably. Stella and Marcosias were handling the other preparations.
“Bats… yes. This one is for practice swings, and this one is just for display.” (Stella)
Stella nodded thoughtfully as she arranged the bats one by one.
Since the Grand Cathedral had only minimal base structures, all the display stands, and explanatory placards had to be constructed on site. Considering the flow and sightlines of the visitors, there was much to do.
“This pamphlet goes here, correct?” (Marcosias)
“Yes, please.” (Stella)
Marcosias, or rather Marcis, was sorting through the materials Nana had brought out, mostly pamphlets and other promotional items.
The pamphlets were written by members of the Nyaff Tribe, with colorful, rounded lettering that gave them a cheerful look.
“These uniforms are easy to move in.” (Marcosias)
In her bipedal, human form for the first time in a while, the girl-shaped Marcosias twisted her waist slightly. She had to assume human form or her hands would be useless for this kind of work.
“Yes, the sleeves and waist area are quite loose. It is surprisingly comfortable.” (Stella)
The Dwarves were constructing the barriers that separated one exhibit from another. That task also appeared to be going smoothly.
“Hmm, it looks like we are almost done unloading.” (Nana)
In her costume form, Nana stretched her body with satisfaction.
“Thank you so much. When I think about it, this was quite the undertaking.” (Stella)
“It wasn’t so bad. There was no mana involved. All I had to do was take naps surrounded by bats and flowers.” (Nana)
“That doesn’t sound very relaxing.” (Marcosias)
“It is still far easier than dragging a slain dragon back to town.” (Nana)
Nana shrugged lightly.
Defeating a monster in the wilderness did not mean the work ended there. The body had to be carried back whenever possible to make a proper profit. Dragon scales, fangs, and bones were particularly valuable materials that fetched high prices.
“How nostalgic.” (Stella)
When a giant monster was defeated, the villagers would sometimes come together to help transport it. However, Stella often found that troublesome and would usually leave the defeated creature where it had fallen.
A lone traveler did not need much money, and bringing back only the bare essentials was enough. Unbeknownst to her, several villages quietly benefited from what she left behind. For several hours, Stella and the others continued working.
Floral decorations, baseball equipment, dollhouses. Each item took its place.
Leia had been completely occupied on Zanzas’s side, so she could not be present, but the layout of the dollhouses was drawn clearly on paper, so they followed the plans faithfully.
“I think this should do.” (Stella)
By noon, the exhibits stood neatly arranged in place. All that remained were a few fine adjustments, at least in theory.
“Piyo. That was quite nerve-racking, piyo.” (Dia)
“There, there. You did your best.” (Marcosias)
“Thank you, piyo!” (Dia)
Now returned to her puppy form, Marcosias patted Dia’s head gently, and Dia accepted it with a delighted stretch.
“How does it look?” (Dia)
“Perfect.” (Stella)
Comparing it to the assembly sheet, Stella gave a satisfied thumbs-up. She reconfirmed that Dia’s memory and precision were truly remarkable. Everything matched exactly with what had been brought from the village.
Looking around the display, Nana remarked,
“It ended faster than I expected. I thought we would be working until this evening.” (Nana)
“It went smoothly.” (Stella)
“Even after lunch, we’ll still have plenty of time left.” (Marcosias)
“Yes, I think we can simply remain on standby until tomorrow.” (Stella)
Just then, Audrey, Clarissa, and their attendants approached with quick, graceful steps.
“Wow, this is absolutely wonderful.” (Audrey)
Audrey’s eyes sparkled as she called out to Stella’s group.
“I have never seen floral decorations so creative before.” (Clarissa)
Clarissa nodded enthusiastically. Behind them, their butler was holding an enormous cockatrice plush toy. Stella guessed they had received those while visiting the Zanzas booth. Looking closely, even the maids following them carried or wore small souvenirs. They were likely touring the various booths to study and learn. Once the art festival officially began, the two, being Hold’s relatives, would undoubtedly become very busy.
Stella invited Audrey and Clarissa to take a closer look.
“Would you like to see the exhibits up close?” (Stella)
“May we? Are your preparations finished?” (Audrey)
“For the most part, yes. Everyone worked hard.” (Marcosias)
“Piyo. You should look first, piyo.” (Dia)
“That’s right. We’ll show Hold later, but I’d also love to hear your impressions.” (Stella)
Hearing that, Audrey and Clarissa smiled brightly and nodded.
“Then, we will gladly take you up on your offer. Where shall we start?” (Audrey)
“Let’s see, we should begin with this one.” (Stella)
With a grand gesture, Stella pointed toward the first exhibit.
“This is an art piece made using an abundance of plants, a specialty of Healberry Village, the floral decoration.” (Stella)
“Piyo. It took a lot of time, piyo.” (Dia)
Stella proudly puffed out her chest.
“A few villagers helped create them, but my son, Wood, made one as well.” (Stella)
It was, admittedly, a touch of parental pride.
