When the wild ball exchange meeting ended, it was already evening. Everyone dispersed and returned home.

“Piyo, piii.” (See you later) (Cockatrices)

“Piyo.” (Bye-bye) (Cockatrices)

The Cockatrices also went home looking satisfied. The adventurer in his thirties seemed regretful, though.

Stella was also in an elated, humming mood. It seemed she was satisfied. Indeed, Wood and the Cockatrices had been formidable opponents. They were clearly in a different league from the other adventurers. If Nana had been here, it might have been different… but she seemed to be sleeping and did not come out.

Well, it cannot be helped, she is a vampire after all.

“Fuu, it really is a good thing…!” (Stella)

“You looked like you were having fun.” (Elt)

“Yes, very much so!” (Stella)

“Ugo, ugo, next time I will do better!” (Wood)

“Indeed… you might even catch up in batting next time!” (Audrey)

Audrey was also holding Dia, looking satisfied.

“Piyo. Audrey did pretty well, piyo.” (Dia)

“Hmm, is that so…?” (Audrey)

“With Oji-sama’s bloodline, I think you can also be good at sports.” (Clarissa)

Clarissa added that. She was quite dirty with soil stains, but did not mind at all. At first glance, the Noball fever in her eyes seemed satisfied and gone… but I could tell. Just like Stella, deep in her eyes a new Noball passion was about to ignite.

“You seem to have a knack for it. I think if you continue, you will improve.” (Elt)

“I see, that is true…!” (Audrey)

“That’s right, piyo!” (Dia)

It seemed Audrey had also enjoyed Noball.

Well, if it is the Nagash Household, it is certain they can do some degree of sports.

“But I am really glad to see you looking well…” (Stella)

“It is all thanks to Stella-sama!” (Audrey)

“Yes, yes…” (Clarissa)

As they walked, Audrey rested her head on Clarissa’s shoulder. Even without exchanging many words, their closeness was obvious. They were truly important friends. Stella probably went to the eastern country because she sensed this friendship. From what I heard, Audrey and Clarissa would already return to Hold-nii-san’s mansion tomorrow. So tonight would be the only time we could be together.

Hearing that, Dia looked up at Audrey.

“Piyo. We can meet again, right?” (Dia)

“We can meet…! Very soon!” (Audrey)

“Yes, very soon…!” (Clarissa)

“Then it’s fine, piyo!” (Dia)

This reunion must have also been a good experience for Dia. Encounters and partings help people grow. Being eager for the next meeting is probably the best.

With that, we returned home, and it was time for a bath to wash away sweat.

“Piyo. Quite a bit of dust stuck, piyo.” (Dia)

“That is true. We have to wash it off… but I am excited, the bath here is lovely!” (Audrey)

“Yes, it is a cypress bath…” (Clarissa)

“And rose petals will be floated.” (Marcosias)

“That sounds beautiful! I want to get in soon!” (Audrey)

Huh? Where is Stella?

“I have not worked up a sweat, so I will go later…” (Stella)

“I see…” (Elt)

Even after that much exercise, not a drop of sweat. She is as amazing as ever.

And then, at the bath. Dia, Marcosias, Audrey, and Clarissa were in the bathroom. It would take a little more time for the tub to fill with hot water. Everyone was washing their bodies first. Already there, Dia was covered in fluffy bubbles from Audrey’s hands. She was being washed all over with soap. The Cockatrice’s feathers could almost be said to lather infinitely. Audrey’s eyes sparkled as she foamed Dia up.

“Amazing! It lathers so much!” (Audrey)

“My feathers match well with soap, piyo!” (Dia)

“It is true… it clings…!” (Clarissa)

Audrey and Clarissa, surprised, rubbed and fluffed Dia gently but thoroughly.

“Wash me too.” (Marcosias)

In puppy form, Marcosias slowly appeared. Her fur was just a little dirty with dust.

“Marcis-san, really in that form…!” (Audrey)

“As I said during wild ball, my fur is a little different from my master’s.” (Marcosias)

Marcosias slid closer to Audrey. Then, she lay flat on the bathroom floor, looking up at Audrey with round eyes.

*Gulp*

So soft-looking.

Audrey gently stroked Marcosias’ back.

*Moist*

“Ahhh… it clings!” (Audrey)

“Maru-chan’s fur is moist, piyo. Please wash her.” (Dia)

“O-okay!” (Audrey)

Audrey took the soap and began scrubbing Marcosias. Soon Marcosias was wrapped in pure white foam.

“Wauu. It feels good.” (Marcosias)

“Is this pressure okay?” (Audrey)

“A bit stronger is fine.” (Marcosias)

Meanwhile, Clarissa poured water over Dia to rinse away the bubbles.

*Splash!*

“Piyo! So refreshed, piyo!” (Dia)

“I am glad…” (Clarissa)

“Next, I will wash you, piyo!” (Dia)

Dia held up the soap.

“Eh… is that okay!?” (Audrey)

“It is fine, piyo! Everyone will get clean, piyo!” (Dia)

“Wauu. Leave some for me to wash too.” (Marcosias)

“Of course, piyo! We will wash each other, piyo!” (Dia)

After finishing washing, everyone entered the bath together. The hot water was pleasantly warm, with rose petals floating on the surface.

“Dia-chan… you are so fluffy…” (Audrey)

Audrey murmured this as she rested her head on Dia.

It was as if she was saying, can such happiness be allowed?

“Not too heavy?” (Audrey)

“Not at all, piyo! In fact, your smooth skin feels nice, piyo!” (Dia)

For Dia, Audrey’s head felt different from her own body and was pleasant.

“Hawaa… so moist…” (Clarissa)

“You should pet more.” (Marcosias)

Clarissa stroked the back of Marcosias, who was leaning on the bath’s edge. Freshly washed, her fur was glossy and felt better than the finest fabric from her homeland. As they relaxed, Clarissa spoke to Audrey.

“By the way, you brought the letter about the art festival, right?” (Clarissa)

“Yes. They said it is about to get serious. There are more and more items, it is a lot of work.” (Audrey)

“Onii-chan has been working on it lately too, piyo.” (Dia)

“It is for the exhibition, right? I am doing the same.” (Audrey)

“Wasn’t the folding screen with a tiger the main piece?” (Clarissa)

Clarissa recalled Audrey’s story. Folding screens were a specialty of the east, and because of the work involved, they were very high-class art pieces. There were some in Clarissa’s royal palace, and she had been told they were all expensive.

“Yes. This big!” (Audrey)

Audrey spread her hands wide.

“Hehh… but a tiger, huh…” (Clarissa)

Audrey did not miss the drop in Clarissa’s tone.

“What is wrong?” (Audrey)

“Well… in our homeland, tiger folding screens are rare. We hardly paint them.” (Clarissa)

“Why is that?” (Marcosias)

Clarissa lowered her voice.

“They say a tiger once came out of a folding screen and caused a huge incident.” (Clarissa)

“Huh, so there is that kind of story…” (Audrey)

“I see, piyo. So, you do not paint them, piyo?” (Dia)

“Yes. They say a traveling monk subjugated it… or something. That is why tiger folding screens are considered bad luck and are no longer painted.” (Clarissa)

“It is just a legend, right?” (Audrey)

Audrey tilted her head slightly as she spoke to Clarissa.

“Yes. But this is a very old story. If that tiger folding screen is even older than the tale, it must be incredibly expensive.” (Clarissa)

“Haa… Father really splurged then…” (Audrey)

Hearing that, Marcosias quietly muttered,

“It might not be a legend.” (Marcosias)

“What did you say, piyo?” (Dia)

“…It is nothing.” (Marcosias)
