Chapter 72

(Thank you for reading at bayabuscotranslation.com)

On the 3rd floor of the Toyota Dungeon, there was a goblin settlement.

The terrain was forested, making lines of fire difficult to maintain, and there were even goblins doing reconnaissance, increasing the difficulty. Around this point is where various countries start struggling. Since goblins were slightly stronger too, ammunition consumption becomes intense, and with conventional equipment alone, this became the point where cost-effectiveness turns negative.

Each country, upon reaching this floor, was forced to revise its understanding of the dungeon. From here on was a domain where we must surpass the previous limits of humanity.

Skill or ability value 15… this is what’s commonly called the “Wall of Humanity”. Level 3 or higher, this is one benchmark to challenge this stratum. We will challenge this place starting tomorrow.

I, too, in preparation for this challenge, have updated m.y equipment.

It’s the dungeon-born item from Norway, “Cotton Shirt” As is, it’s unpopular because it pricks the skin and is painful, but if a guild member with special or alchemy skills processes it, it becomes wearable equipment somehow.

Cotton Shirt

DEF: 3

MDEF: 3

In terms of defense, it’s an item definitely better than a T-shirt. It’s stiff though. Even after being treated, it’s really stiff. Bit by bit, my equipment is starting to become fantasy-like. Well, at a glance, it doesn’t look that different though.

With DEF 12 and MDEF 19, my defense is steadily increasing. That Emilia girl chose “Spider Silk,” favoring texture over defense. This bourgeois!!

Spider Silk

DEF: 1

MDEF: 3

Also from the Norwegian dungeon, yet it’s weak, expensive, smooth to the touch, and looks nice! It’s on a whole different level!? “Spider Silk” is fine even when touching bare skin normally!

On top of that, my “Cotton Shirt” looks like a villager’s clothes, but Emilia’s “Spider Silk” looks like noble clothing. That’s how different their appearances are.

That 2 points of defense is important!! It’s not that I cheaped out! I swear!?

The Norwegian dungeon, apparently similar to the Shizuoka dungeon, has wolves appearing from the first stratum, so in the future, these items might become obtainable nearby. Each country trades dungeon-born items in various ways, enriching the guild’s item stockpile. This is where that result can be felt.

Mira’s pointy hat and robe are also such products. They are infamous items from the British dungeon. That dungeon has Cait Sith wandering around, and from the first stratum, monsters cast magic. It’s a terrifyingly difficult dungeon with many deaths.

Honestly, goblins don’t even compare. When this dungeon appeared in the third year, the panic in the UK was apparently quite severe. Magic storms raged through urban areas, raining down on buildings, cars, and people. It might have been at this point that all countries truly realized the terror of dungeon emergence.

Staffs appear in small quantities in just about every dungeon. However, since they’re mostly useless to those who haven’t learned magic, they can be obtained very cheaply. It’s 8000 yen.

Yep, turns out there was something cheaper than the Goblin Knife. With attack power 5, it’s not to be underestimated. It’s stronger than a metal bat. Mysterious, isn’t it? It’s also fairly long, and from now on, maybe staff bludgeoning like Mira does will become a trend.
