Chapter 26
(Thank you for reading at bayabuscotranslation.com)
Before I knew it, classmates of both genders had gathered around us. If a handsome man and a beautiful woman were at the center of the conversation, it might be inevitable that people gathered.
But why am I at that center…? Since it is just after enrollment, everyone probably wants to talk with as many people as possible, regardless of gender. I have never thought I wanted to become popular in class. No, maybe once or twice I thought… wait, no, I didn’t. That’s probably the limit of me as an ordinary person. Even so, I still do not want to become popular in class.
“Alright, everyone, take your seats. Save your socializing with classmates for later.” (Teacher)
The teacher opened the classroom door and came in. It seemed like this was the signal to end it here. I had been able to talk with many people, regardless of gender. Because the original topic was what it was, many conversations revolved around the dungeon.
Since the dungeon appeared, the news and topics had been completely focused on the dungeon, so it was inevitable. And I was able to learn about everyone’s stance toward the dungeon. Among the girls, quite a few seemed to want to keep a bit of distance.
There were those who wanted to actively go to the dungeon, those interested, those who would rather not get involved if possible, and those who wanted to keep their distance. These four groups were about evenly split. Among the boys, some seemed to commute from far away because of the dungeon.
Those who wanted to actively go to the dungeon, those who wanted to go, those who wanted to try going, and well, those who were interested. On the boys’ side, 100% intended to go. Therefore, the conversations included girls saying, “Isn’t the dungeon dangerous?” and so on. There were even people who came like it was a game to ask for strategy tips.
If the strategies were understood, no one would be struggling, right!?
However, I was fed up with those who persistently asked about stats and skills.
Even though I was willing to teach, I couldn’t trust someone I had just met today! How am I supposed to prove that I’m telling the truth!? That guy is someone to watch out for. Well, aside from girls, I’m not so careless as to leak important information to boys.
Still, it really seemed like I might end up going to the dungeon with classmates.
I hope nobody dies…
“Well then, finally, I think there are some of you who are going to the dungeon, but don’t force anyone who’s not willing to come along! And absolutely make sure you come back alive! Got it? That’s all for today!” (Teacher)
