“Well then, shall we call it a day here?” (Stella)

“Wafu~” (Marcosias)

“Ugo ugo, that was fun!” (Wood)

Since the sun had begun to set, today’s session ended. In the end, we had spent quite a lot of time on it. The times when we were stabbing into the ground had only been at the start, and now that was no longer happening.

“Good work… By the way, is Marcosias alright?” (Elt)

“Waff?” (Marcosias)

“Before, you said you got tired, piyo.” (Dia)

“Wafu! That’s right, but I’m not tired now! Rather, it was fun!” (Marcosias)

It seemed even Marcosias had realized that for the first time. Stella answered there.

“Before, when she was in human form, she said she got tired. This form suits faster movement better, apparently.”

Stella stroked Marcosias’s head. Marcosias looked relaxed and comfortable, flopping about lazily.

Maybe I should pet Dia, who I’m holding…

*Pat pat*

“Kaa-sama, so that’s how it was…” (Dia)

“It’s about you, actually…” (Stella)

I wonder how it was inside the game. The red super acceleration, if I remember correctly, was used more often when Marcosias was in her wolf form…? Since I only knew her as a boss enemy, I didn’t really understand that part either. But it’s common that when the form changes, the things one excels at change too. Otherwise, transforming would be pointless.

“Onii-chan, was it fun too, piyo?” (Dia)

“Ugo… I felt the sky!” (Wood)

“I see, piyo…” (Dia)

Dia shifted a little. She gave off the vibe that she wanted to try it. Dia was very curious, and if others were enjoying something, she wanted to join in too.

Hmm, maybe I should encourage her. To be honest, I’m interested too. Thinking about it, there is no “fast thing” in this world. At most, there are horses. They’re faster than walking, but not like bullet trains, cars, or airplanes. There are no skyscrapers either, so no chance to see the view from above.

Stella’s babyuun (vroom!) is fast and high. I wonder what this world looks like from up there.

“Shall we try flying together one last time?” (Elt)

“Piyo…!? You too, Tou-sama?” (Dia)

“Yeah, it won’t be scary if we’re together.” (Elt)

“…That’s true, piyo. It won’t be scary if Tou-sama is with me, piyo!” (Dia)

And so, for the last flight, the whole family flew together.

“That’s nice, everyone together…” (Stella)

“Yeah, but is this really okay…?” (Elt)

Though I said that, Stella was in an incredible state right now. Wood was on her back, and Marcosias was strapped to her chest. Dia and I were each held by one of Stella’s arms.

“It’s much lighter than a dragon, after all…!” (Stella)

“I-is that so?” (Elt)

“Alright! Here I go!” (Stella)

Stella jumped with all her might. Just that was enough to excite Dia.

“Piyo! So high, piyo!” (Dia)

“Wow…” (Wood)

The village looked small. From above, it really did look like a forest. And there was the Large Tree Tower in the square.

Ah, Tetetoka is waving from the window of the Large Tree Tower. We must thank the Dryads who played such an important role in the festival. I gave them a catalogue with the things they wanted. I wonder if they’re looking at it.

And then sudden acceleration.

I don’t feel the wind as much as I thought… or maybe it’s a strange sensation because we’re wrapped in magic. My vision is faintly wrapped in a red light. Still, moving through the sky at such speed is a sensation unlike any before.

And before I knew it, we had smoothly descended to the ground.

Good, we didn’t stab into the earth.

“Piyo…! It feels like a bullet train, piyo!” (Dia)

Dia seemed happy too.

That’s good.

“How is it? Fun, right?” (Stella)

“Yeah… It’s an excitement like never before. I can understand why Wood enjoys it.” (Elt)

“Ugo… It’s fast and fun!” (Wood)

“Piyo? Maru-chan…” (Dia)

Dia tilted her head while looking at Marcosias.

“Wafu?” (Marcosias)

“…She seems a little bigger, piyo.” (Dia)

Meanwhile, Tetetoka, who had been waving from the Large Tree Tower, left the window and went back inside. Inside, Lalatoma was leaning against the sitting Cockatrice.

“Tetetoka-oneechan, what’s wrong?” (Lalatoma)

“Something flashed brightly.” (Tetetoka)

“Really?” (Lalatoma)

“It was red.” (Tetetoka)

“Oh, was that outside the window?” (Lalatoma)

“It’s gone somewhere already.” (Tetetoka)

“I see.” (Lalatoma)

Relaxed. This was the kind of conversation Dryads had with each other.

“So, have you decided what to buy?” (Tetetoka)

With a ‘yoisho’, Tetetoka sat beside Lalatoma.

“Piyoyo.” (Cockatrice)

The Cockatrice wrapped its soft feathers gently around the two of them. It felt warm and comfortable.

“We get to receive a lot of things, huh.” (Lalatoma)

“Yeah, yeah.” (Tetetoka)

Lalatoma had a catalog on her lap. It showed pictures of soil, flowerpots, fertilizer, and various other items. Since Dryads couldn’t read letters, they indicate what they want by pictures. For their big role in the festival, they were going to receive many things. They were in the middle of choosing what to take.

“This red soil-looking one seems interesting too.” (Tetetoka)

Tetetoka pointed at a picture of red soil. For Dryads, soil was like bedding.

Choosing soil feels like choosing bedding.

“What about this watering can? Isn’t it good?” (Lalatoma)

“Ah, nice.” (Tetetoka)

They flipped through the pages. Watering cans were an item the Dryads cared about. Tetetoka now had four watering cans which she used depending on her mood. It was an important matter, and Tetetoka was very satisfied.

But maybe this time I could get a fifth watering can. That way I could choose even more finely depending on mood and weather.

“Hmm? More pages than before…” (Tetetoka)

The last pages were new. The catalogue sometimes expanded based on the Dryads’ requests. Of course, sometimes Elt or the Nyaff tribe requested additions too. This time was that pattern.

“Oh… this is…!” (Tetetoka)

*Gulp *

“Tetetoka onee-chan! Could it be, could it be…!” (Lalatoma)

Tetetoka and Lalatoma’s eyes shone brightly. That page showed alluring products unlike any before.

“Wonderful. Now that you mention it, this is important. I hadn’t thought about it until now.” (Tetetoka)

“Exactly! Let’s ask everyone too!” (Lalatoma)

“Yeah, I’m sure they’ll want it.” (Tetetoka)

Their gaze rested on a picture of water. Snowmelt natural water.

Back inside the house, I petted puppy-form Marcosias. Apparently, she had grown a little while using her power continuously.

Hmm, I can’t really tell though…

“She has definitely grown a little.” (Stella)

Now that I think about it, maybe she really has grown a bit. If she keeps using the super acceleration, maybe her power and memories will return more.

With that, today’s training ended, and it was time for the bath and dinner. Feeling relaxed, happiness welled up inside. Soon it became late at night, wrapped in cotton and time for sleep.

“Suyā… piyo. Suyā… piyo.” (Dia)

“Wafu~” (Marcosias)

Dia and Marcosias really got along well. Marcosias held Dia’s head gently.

Looking at them like this, maybe Marcosias really has grown a little.

She hides Dia’s head more than before. Both of them are growing… While Stella and Marcosias are away, I have to do my best too. It might be lonely, but just for a week. It will be an important time for Dia as well.

“Nfufu~…” (Stella)

Stella’s arm holding me tightened as she closed her eyes. I held her hand back. The soft feeling passed through my hand. That alone was enough to convey the feelings.

Probably neither Stella nor I are the type to express love romantically with many words. This kind of gentle touch little by little suits us better. From tomorrow, everyday village building will begin.

It’s been a long day, but a very valuable and important day.
