That Remark is Definitely an Act of Disrespect

When Leon said he would leave her behind at the royal castle, Meltera strongly objected.

“Why do I have to stay behind!? If you’re leaving someone, then why not leave the Ghost woman instead!” (Meltera)

“People would be scared of Silvia. Besides, she’s invisible during the day. Look, when you come back, I’ll let you eat whatever you want.” (Leon)

“Hmm… Is that really okay?” (Meltera)

“Of course.” (Leon)

“…Well, I guess it can’t be helped.” (Meltera)

So easy. (Leon)

“Also, I’ll leave a few Baby Suras with you, just in case.” (Leon)

“Leave it to me~.” (Sura)

The units separated from Sura jumped onto Meltera’s head and shoulders. Then, he decided to leave Silvia behind as well. Meltera shouted, “I don’t need a ghost or anything!” but that was probably just bravado.

“I’ll prepare a carriage.” (Machinka)

“No, it’s okay. A carriage would be too slow and take too much time.” (Leon)

“…?” (Machinka)

Rejecting Machinka’s suggestion, Leon created an earthen ship. It would get us to the destination much faster.

“W-what is this…?” (Machinka)

“A ship!” (Arc/Iris)

“Ship…? Well, the shape is like that, but ships are supposed to run on water…” (Machinka)

Before the puzzled Machinka, the earthen ship departed. Not only was it unreal to see a ship running on the ground, but the incredible speed at which it sped away left Machinka standing there dumbfounded.

“That should be around there.” (Leon)

After running the earthen ship for about an hour, Leon and the group arrived at the location marked on the map. It was a rocky area with huge boulders clustered together. As they stepped out of the ship and entered the area, large lizards matching the color of the rocks swarmed around from nowhere. They were called Rock Lizards, monsters inhabiting rocky terrain. Not only did they look like rocks, but their scales were as hard as stone.

“Take this!” (Arc)

“Hey!” (Iris)

“!?” (Rock Lizards)

Even the Rock Lizards were easily crushed and blown away by the twins’ strikes, shattering their scales with ease. Naturally, they couldn’t stop Leon’s party. Eventually, hidden quietly among countless rocks, we found an entrance hole that seemed like the dungeon’s entrance.

However…

“Is that an army?” (Leon)

Near the entrance, there was a group of about 100-armed people. They had set up tents here, apparently camping. The members were of various races.

“We go.” (Arc/Iris)

The twins approached the camp without hesitation.

“Are those Catkin children…?” (Soldier)

“There are humans too…?” (Soldier)

From among the confused beastkin, a man who seemed to be Catkin appeared. Judging by his attire, he was probably an officer.

“Hey, what are you doing here?” (Officer)

“You first,” (Arc/Iris)

“Huh? I’m asking you. Where are you kids from? If you don’t want to get hurt, then leave.” (Officer)

The man glared fiercely and threatened us. Naturally, the twins were not intimidated.

“Hmph.” (Arc/Iris)

They closed the distance instantly. Arc swept the man’s legs, knocking him to the ground, then Iris stomped on his stomach.

“Ugh!? W-what the hell!? If you touch me, you’ll regret it, you hear me!?” (Officer)

He got beaten up badly. Lately, Leon was a little worried that they might be resolving everything with violence too often.

“W-what are you doing!? Help me already!” (Officer)

The man shouted, and the other beastkin who had been stunned began to move in a panic.

“Gah!?” (Soldiers)

But before they could help, they crashed into an invisible wall.

It was the barrier Leon had erected.

“Eek… You won’t get away with this! I’m one of Lord Ragdo’s closest aides! I’m here on his orders!” (Officer)

“The orders?” (Arc/Iris)

“Yeah! There’s a rumor that an important anti-government figure is hiding inside this dungeon! We’re here to eliminate him! If you interfere anymore, we’ll consider you part of the anti-government faction and show no mercy!” (Officer)

It was probably meant as a threat. However, it had the opposite effect and only angered the twins.

“…” (Arc/Iris)

“Huh? W-what’s with that look…? If you’re defying me, that means you’re defying the Beast King!” (Officer)

“The Beast King is dead.” (Arc/Iris)

“Huh?” (Officer)

Apparently, this information hadn’t reached here yet. The man thought the twins’ words were just nonsense and laughed loudly.

“Gya ha ha ha! The Beast King is dead, you say? Kids like you?” (Officer)

“Yeah. Dead.” (Arc)

“We came after that happened.” (Iris)

“That’s a pretty interesting joke.” (Officer)

“The Beast King is the strongest person in this country! There’s no way he’d lose to some kids! You’re finished now! That comment is definitely an act of disrespect! Sentence: death! Death penalty decided!” (Officer)

Not knowing that the Beast King had really been defeated by these twins, he shouted in a ridiculous way, backed by an illusion of authority.

“Shut up!” (Arc/Iris)

“Ugh!?!” (Officer)

The twins blew him away, and he completely lost consciousness. The other soldiers seemed intimidated by the twins and couldn’t move. Moreover, when the twins tried to pass, they hurriedly cleared a path.

“We go.” (Arc/Iris)

And so, Leon’s party stepped into the dungeon.
