It took one month to go to the Carnea Duchy, and about half a month to return since Suzuri lent me her power. I returned to the Great Forest of Owa after two months. I did not really look around as if on a trip, nor did I do anything grand like sabotage. I only scattered insects in the warehouse.

Suzuri lowered her head timidly, and the chiefs looked at her with curiosity.

“If I recall, that human and Hide have various exchanges regarding construction, right? We do not know the details but Hide might.” (Ran)

The subordinates nodded, saying they were not involved. Among them, only Hide looked surprised at being betrayed and looked around for help, but everyone averted their eyes. Hide seemed to give up and dropped his shoulders.

Looking over, the Todon who had been almost a mummy lying there earlier was now present. Somehow, it seemed like he was gaining flesh compared to before. I was so stunned by what happened that I kept tilting the magic pouch, so food continued pouring out. Alcohol was naturally mixed in, and the revived Todon immediately recognized only the alcohol, emptied the bottle in no time, and found a new target. Before I knew it, about half the food had flowed out, and Todon had returned to his original stocky build.

The revived Todon was wild and free. I thought he would thank me for the fine alcohol he drank like cheap booze, but instead, he found Suzuri, cried, and threw himself into a warm embrace. So that bottle was alcohol after all. I had thought it was a fruit drink. While Lyle and I were putting the food back into the magic pouch, beside us was an emotional reunion and a passionate hug.

“You smell like alcohol!” (Suzuri)

With a strong rejection, the curtain fell. Suzuri’s double palm strike landed perfectly, and Todon was blown away. Perhaps seriously wounded physically and mentally, he did not revive again.

At Hide’s place, construction was progressing smoothly under Todon’s instructions. However, it was forced to pause when Todon became emaciated due to lack of alcohol. Once we find the quarry… The nations should remain quiet and safe for a while. Thanks to Suzuri, trade with the Empire should be easier.

My dream of a secluded life was gradually approaching, and I prayed it would come true someday. I fell asleep in a soft bed after a long time.
