Both of You Are Too Careless
Thank you for reading at bayabuscotranslation.com)
As usual, the twins launched a surprise attack on the group of orcs. They defeated one, two, three without difficulty.
“BuoOOOOOOO!!” (Blue Orc)
Letting out a roar after seeing its comrades taken down was the blue-colored orc. Its bloodshot eyes glared as it lunged at the twins.
““!?”” (Arc/Iris)
The twins widened their eyes at the speed, which was on a completely different level from any orc they had fought until now. Arc, who was instantly approached, reflexively guarded against the blue orc’s incoming punch. However, he was blown away just like that.
“Nyaah!?” (Arc)
“Arc!?” (Iris)
Arc was slammed into a tree behind him. Iris’s eyes followed him instinctively, and that lapse in attention allowed the blue orc to close in.
“!” (Iris)
She noticed it just in time and rolled away to avoid the powerful arm. The blue orc, determined not to let her escape, immediately followed up with another attack. Although smaller in stature compared to a General Orc, each swing of its arm generated a violent gust. Its fists crushed massive trees and caved in the ground. It far exceeded a General Orc in agility, yet did not fall short in power either. It might even surpass it.
“–! –!” (Iris)
Iris desperately evaded the attacks. She likely understood instinctively that taking even a single hit would be fatal. While dodging the blue orc’s storm-like attacks, Iris looked for an opening and counterattacked. She struck with accurate blows aimed at vital spots. However, no matter how many hits landed, the blue orc showed no signs of slowing down. It was clear that its endurance also surpassed that of a General Orc.
“Pitfall!” (Iris)
At that moment, Iris cast a beginner-level earth spell as a last-ditch effort. Beastkin were not good with magic. However, that did not mean they couldn’t use it at all. Thinking it might come in handy someday, Leon had at least taught the twins some basic spells.
Pitfall was a spell that creates a hole in the ground. Suddenly, the sensation of the ground underfoot vanished, and the blue orc fell into the hole. A small shadow, then, dropped from above. It was Arc. He spun rapidly in midair, and then, unleashed a powerful axe kick by using both centrifugal force and the energy of the fall.
“Bugyaa!?” (Blue Orc)
The devastating strike crashed into the blue orc’s skull, making its eyes roll back as it collapsed. Though Arc had taken no small amount of damage when he was blown away, he had healed himself with a beginner-level recovery spell Leon had taught him. While doing so, he climbed a tree and waited for an opening.
Iris, who had sensed this, endured the blue orc’s fierce attacks and led it into position. The blue orc had walked straight into the twins’ coordinated trap. The remaining orcs had apparently fled without them noticing. Though frustrated that they had failed to take down a few, the twins high-fived each other in celebration of their success.
Then, in the brief moment their attention wavered…
The blue orc, who had regained consciousness at some point, quickly raised its body.
““!?”” (Arc/Iris)
By the time the twins noticed, it was already too late. The blue orc’s fist was about to strike Arc’s face directly…
“Buhi?” (Blue Orc)
Right before impact, the blue orc let out a stupid-sounding grunt. Its punch had been easily caught by a human who had appeared before they knew it. The interloper was, of course, Leon, who had been hiding nearby.
“Both of you are too careless. You have to make sure it’s really dead.” (Leon)
““Ugh…”” (Arc/Iris)
While the twins hung their heads in shame, Leon drove a fist into the blue orc’s abdomen.
*Thud!*
“——!?” (Blue Orc)
An explosive strike sounded, followed by a silent scream. This time, the blue orc truly died and collapsed on the spot.
“Alright, then as punishment, you’re doing endless running through the forest.” (Leon)
““!”” (Arc/Iris)
Taking full advantage of the convenient excuse, Leon gave the order without allowing objections.
Endless running, as the name implies, was a hellish training where they must keep running without a set goal until Leon said “Okay”. Remembering how grueling it was, the twins looked like they were about to cry. They were good at sprinting, but not at long-distance running.
“Don’t worry, it won’t go on too long. We have to be back when time’s up. Though since it’s in the forest, it’ll probably be harder than usual.” (Leon)
““Uuu…”” (Arc/Iris)
Encouraging the reluctant twins, Leon began running. In endless running, the rule was that they must not fall behind Leon, who led the way.
(…As I thought, someone’s still following us.) (Leon)
One reason Leon started running was to observe the behavior of the person persistently tailing them.
(They’re starting to fall behind bit by bit. Doesn’t look like they have much stamina.) (Leon)
After running for a while, he noticed the presence gradually growing more distant. Wondering what their goal was, Leon continued running through the forest with the twins.

(Wha—how fast are they!? I can’t even keep up…!) (Mysterious Woman)
She was shocked at the backs that were gradually growing farther away.
(I mean, even if they’re beastkin, children that young defeating orcs is just impossible!) (Mysterious Woman)
What she witnessed while secretly monitoring them was completely unexpected. She had assumed the boy was the one defeating the orcs, but in reality, he was mostly just observing while the even younger twins were doing the fighting. Moreover, they easily took down High Orcs, which even top-class adventurers struggle against.
(But even more unbelievable is that boy…! I couldn’t even see his movement just now…! And now, I’ve hit my limit…) (Mysterious Woman)
Eventually giving up the chase, she came to a stop.
“Haah, haah, haah… Who would even believe a report like this…?” (Mysterious Woman)
As she caught her breath, she let out a sigh.
“…Still, that blue orc… Could it be…?” (Mysterious Woman)
