“…Are you an idiot?” (Leon)

“You’re the idiot for calling me that!” (Meltera)

“I don’t think even kids today would say something like that.” (Leon)

Leon gave a bewildered look as Meltera stomped her feet in anger.

“However, if Hero Leon is dead, then who defeated the golem I created? Was it you?” (Meltera)

“N-no, it wasn’t me.” (Leon)

“Then, was it your side?” (Meltera)

“A-a, it wasn’t me either!” (Filia)

“Then who in the world was it?” (Meltera)

Both Filia and Mina pointed at Leon. Unable to deny it in this situation, Leon reluctantly raised his hand.

“…It was me.” (Leon)

“What!? That’s a child, no matter how you look at it!” (Meltera)

Leon muttered inwardly, I don’t want to hear that from you.

“Hmm?” (Meltera)

Meltera stared intently at Leon. Leon could tell that her gaze was imbued with strong mana.

“…Hmm. You seem to be hiding it well, but you’re concealing quite a lot of power, aren’t you? My Magic Eye can’t be deceived. Heh, well, this is good. After all, it would be boring to have all this power and no one to show it to. I’ll have you take the place of the Hero.” (Meltera)

It’s the same person, though… In any case, Leon sighed, realizing this was going to be troublesome.

“Don’t worry. I won’t kill you.” (Meltera)

A tremendous mana rose from Meltera’s body.

This is…

Seeing this, Leon felt a sense of discomfort. The reason was that the flow of mana was far too perfectly regulated. Mana constantly circulated within the body, like blood. The speed and efficiency of this circulation significantly impact the power of magic and the time it takes to cast spells, sometimes being more important than the total amount of mana.

There were individual differences from birth, such as imbalances in the left and right sides, or areas prone to obstruction. Just as there was no perfectly symmetrical face, there was no person with a perfectly balanced mana flow. Even Leon wasn’t like that. However, the elf before him seemed to have a completely ideal flow of mana, as if it had been artificially created.

“Let’s start with a greeting.” (Meltera)

Immediately after, Meltera summoned rock chunks. It was probably an earth magic technique, Rock Fall.

And there were ten of them. It was a multi-casting technique, something only a skilled magician could perform. A total of ten rock chunks, each nearly a meter in diameter, came flying all at once.

It’s probably best not to counter with magic. It might get detected.

Leon had been suppressing his manaer as much as possible. He didn’t know exactly how Meltera’s Magic Eye worked, but if she analyzed his magic, she would discover that it had the same properties as that of the Hero. Everyone’s mana has its own unique color and wave, but Leon’s magic had hardly changed from his previous life. At this point, there was no choice but to deal with it with a sword, but unfortunately, his sword had been damaged when he destroyed the golem earlier.

“Well, if it’s just this much, I can handle it with my bare hands.” (Leon)

Leon crushed the approaching rock chunks with his right arm. He destroyed the remaining nine in the same way, using his arms and legs.

“Well, you’re not bad. Then—” (Meltera)

Once again, ten more rock chunks appeared around Meltera. These were slightly larger than the previous ones, but the amount of mana imbued in them had increased significantly. The density was entirely different. The power was likely on a completely different level.

“How about this!” (Meltera)

Each strike was like a meteor. Even so, Leon dealt with it in the same way as before.

“‘Eek!?’” (Filia/Mina)

The fragments of the shattered rocks flew past their faces at an incredible speed, causing Filia and Mina to hurriedly pull their faces back.

…That was a little painful.

Leon shook his slightly reddened fist to ease the pain. However, it was at a level that would heal quickly through natural recovery.

“Hmm, hmm, you can still go on, it seems. Now, for this.” (Meltera)

This time, a hundred rock chunks appeared.

“Unbelievable! What an insane number of Rock Falls!?” (Filia)

“Wait, this isn’t even a Rock Fall anymore!” (Mina)

“Leon-dono! Run!” (Filia)

“You can’t exactly run from this, can you?” (Mina)

Filia and Mina shouted, their eyes wide in disbelief. From their perspective, it was an unimaginable scene.

…This is a real hassle, though.

Leon was simply exasperated by the sheer number. As the massive number of rock chunks came rushing like a meteor shower, Leon continued to destroy them, just as he had done before.
By the time all the rocks had vanished, Leon was drenched in sweat. As the rock chunks passed through the air at high speed, friction heat was generated, and with a hundred of them, it was no surprise that the surrounding temperature had risen significantly.

“It’s hot… I’m thirsty.” (Leon)

“‘Eeh!? That’s it!?’” (Filia/Mina)

Filia and Mina couldn’t help but scream with all their might.

“Ho, you can even withstand that. How interesting. At this rate, I don’t mind going a bit more serious.” (Meltera)

Meltera laughed with amusement. With this level of power, even Leon didn’t want to keep responding with his bare hands.

“Was that not your full strength?” (Filia)

“How crazy is this, exactly!?” (Mina)

“Hmm…” (Arc/Iris)

The twins stared at Meltera with concern as she muttered.

“—Maid Golem.” (Meltera)

Immediately afterward, the walls of the room began to stir, and one by one, golems crawled out. It seemed that she had created them using the dungeon walls as material. Moreover, those golems…

“!” (Filia/Mina)

Suddenly, they all simultaneously began to produce rock chunks.

“The golems… they’re using magic…?” (Filia)

“Yes! This is the ultimate magic I developed, with the goal of defeating the Hero!” (Meltera)
