Henriette let out a sigh in her room. Her outfit was not the usual attire of an adventurer. It was a glittering dress, like something a noble lady somewhere would wear. No, not “somewhere”. In fact, Henriette was a noble lady herself. Moreover, she was the daughter of the great noble Albert Household, which governed this land.
She had returned to her family home for the first time in a while in order to deliver a certain report.

When Vampires evolve, they become a higher species called Arch Vampires. And when an Arch Vampire evolves even further, they become a Vampire Lord.
It was unknown what the reasoning was, but it was said that only a single Vampire Lord could exist at any given time. However, in exchange, the Vampire Lord possessed power incomparable to that of an Arch Vampire.

Henriette was struck speechless upon realizing that the worst-case scenario had occurred. Currently, it seemed that the knights who had been assigned to strict security were fighting back, but their opponents were vampires, each considered disaster-class individually.
