Female Swordsman’s Assault

According to the information from the pack hound Kobolds, there was one adventurer, a female swordsman. She entered from the south, and it seemed several settlements had already been attacked and wiped out. I immediately had the pack hound Kobolds rest in place and stepped out of the door.
The forest was as quiet as usual, with a cool breeze passing through. Yet, to me, it seemed as though there was a disturbance. After observing the surroundings for a while, a group of pack hound Kobolds arrived. Upon closer inspection, I noticed there were both elderly and young ones. When I asked, it seemed they had settlements in the south and had come seeking refuge after learning of the female swordsman’s attack.
Naturally, I decided to protect them. However, as a condition, I asked the faster ones to act as messengers. The messages to deliver were, an adventurer had attacked, several settlements had been destroyed, and the Demon King was ready to offer protection. I issued these instructions to all the races living in the forest.
The pack hound Kobolds accepted. The elder, who seemed to be a war dog (Kobold Leader), directed the younger males to carry out their respective tasks. Then, the door opened, and a pack hound Kobold came to report. He said he would also join in as a messenger. It seemed he had been part of a scouting team, and upon finding the female swordsman, had been saved by his comrades and was the only one to survive and make it here.
What a tearful story. Although, it didn’t matter much to me now. I said I would prepare for their protection, had the remaining pack hound Kobolds wait there, and returned inside. I took the book in my hand and began creating the dungeon.
…?
I didn’t feel like anything special had happened. Did I make a mistake? A sense of unease crossed my mind, but I soon realized that it had been successful. The pages of the book flickered, and when I opened it, I saw words I hadn’t seen in a while.
‘Quest Complete!’
I quickly took the reward seeds and dungeon points, then approached the door. At that moment, options appeared in my mind.
- To the first floor
• Outside
I chose the first floor, and when the door opened, it was the Great Forest of Owa I knew well, though I was seeing it through the door for the first time. Nearby was a water’s edge, and the surrounding trees were a bit more numerous than usual, serving as cover. It was exactly as I had designed it.
I approached the door again, and this time, the options were…
- Outside
• To the throne room
I chose the throne room, placed the book there, and then selected “Outside”. This time, the view outside was from a familiar hill, overlooking the Great Forest of Owa. I could see the pack hound Kobolds at the edge.
Before bringing them into the dungeon, I decided to explain a few things. The interior was shaped like the Great Forest of Owa. Other races would likely come, and I hoped they would work together and live in peace. They must not linger near the door. There were two doors, one leading outside, and one leading to the throne room. Both were paths adventurers would likely take. I planned to confront the adventurers in the throne room in the end.
Normally, I should guide them to my greatest creation, the village, but if adventurers passed through there, it would be disastrous. For now, I would rely on their wild instincts. Once the Kobolds entered the dungeon, various other races, like the Goblins and the Orcs, gathered to seek protection with their settlements.
I told them to speak with the Kobolds inside for more details and sheltered them in the dungeon. More and more races sought refuge, but then, after a certain point, it suddenly stopped. Strangely, a dry wind began to blow. It was about time.
Just as if answering my thoughts, a blood-soaked female swordsman appeared from the forest below. Her long hair was tied into a single bundle, and her armor focused more on movement than defense, with breastplates and gauntlets. The sword she had used to take many lives was clean and sharp, as if it had been wiped after use. The pressure felt with every step she took was just as overwhelming as Orgia’s.
Still, her gaze was terrible. Despite her beautiful face, her eyes pierced with a sharpness more intense than the sword she held.
“You are the Demon King, aren’t you?” (??)
“I am. While I would prefer to announce myself formally, due to certain circumstances, I shall do so in the throne room.”
It was meant as a lighthearted joke, but the female swordsman remained with a stern expression.
Ah, how scary.
“Then, female swordsman, I shall wait for you in the throne room. Ah, the demons inside have no intention of fighting you, so please let them go. Also, there is a water’s edge near the door connected to the throne room, so after you spill blood—”
Before I could finish my sentence, I stepped inside the door.
The female swordsman, apparently running at a ridiculous speed, was already heading straight for me as I was speaking. I was scared and reached for the door. I sat on the throne and took a deep breath. After calming down, I began to seriously think about fulfilling the promise I made as the female swordsman.
My name. Damn! I shouldn’t have said I’d introduce myself. I hadn’t thought about it at all.
I continued to ponder for a while, wondering what a Demon King-like name it was.
