Baron Warden (Previous head)
Leadership: 6
The land was not inherited but newly granted by the king, and he led his retainers and people as a lord.
Combat Strength: 2
Being a merchant, he had no experience.
Intelligence: 7
He amassed wealth enough to buy a title as a merchant and devoted effort to educating his children.
Political Power: 7
Though the former Warden territory was at the southern end of the kingdom, he turned it into a major city by focusing on its strategic location for trade with other countries, attracting merchants and adventurers.
Popularity: 3
Although he had some support from his people, he was isolated among the nobility due to the backlash from purchasing his title.
Relation: Father of Arc and others.
Career:
His skills as a merchant were top-tier, and he grew the Warden Trading Company to surpass the Merchant Guild, becoming the number one trading company in the kingdom. He bought the title of baron using the wealth earned from his merchant activities. However, this purchase of rank caused resentment from the nobility, leading to isolation for the Warden Baron family among them. As a lord, he also utilized his merchant background to establish a logistics system, managing a prosperous land. However, he was killed in an attack by Marquis Ivan, who targeted the rich land. Just before his death, he passed the family headship to his second son, Arc.
Yanna Warden
Leadership: 3
She has no experience leading anything and plays a supportive role behind the mayor, Ragonne, in the third city.
Combat Strength: 2
She has courage but no experience as a warrior.
Intelligence: 5
She was originally sharp and received merchant education, allowing her to excel in various tasks.
Political Power: 8
Entrusted with administrative duties by Arc as a development officer in Mikanda, she also focuses on the redevelopment of the third city. Her ability to process paperwork is exceptionally fast, making her a pillar supporting Mikanda.
Popularity: 3
Although trusted by Arc and other Warden family executives, she lacks presence due to her behind-the-scenes role.
Relation: Sister of Tyr, Arc, and Minerva.
Career:
Yanna serves as a development officer in Mikanda, residing primarily in the third city where she works with Mayor Ragonne to industrialize the city. Since childhood, she and her siblings received rigorous education as merchants, but Yanna excelled particularly in administrative work, focusing on document management and writing.
Traits:
As the eldest sibling, even Tyr, the eldest son, or Arc, the lord, cannot ignore Yanna’s opinions. Yanna is well aware of this, so she rarely voices her opinions.
Personality & Values:
She is a lazy person and especially dislikes debates, preferring that Arc runs the territory with strong leadership, even if it seems like a dictatorship. Whether in discussions or organizing paperwork, she prioritizes finishing tasks as quickly and efficiently as possible. During her late teens, she left her parents’ home to train as a merchant across the kingdom. During this time, without parental supervision, she engaged in irresponsible relationships with both genders, a habit she continues today. She even turned the tables on Ragonne, the third mayor, who tried to seduce Arc, and they are now in a close relationship.
Tyr Warden
Leadership: 8
He skillfully commands soldier and conducts swift attacks. In military school, he played the role of a leader among the students and is relatively good at organizing groups. During the Randall peasant rebellion, he led adventurers he had just met to provide rear support.
Combat Strength: 6
He is proficient with various weapons, including swords, spears, and bows, and is one of the few fighters in the Warden family. However, he often takes a commanding role during battles, rarely engaging in direct combat.
Intelligence: 6
He is a typical merchant family member, fighting in a way that minimizes losses as much as possible. He prioritizes winning without fighting, devising strategies like starving out Randal’s forces or causing divisions within the enemy. He excels at quickly assessing the situation and, even in losing battles, minimizes losses. In his spare time, he inspects key military locations around Mikanda.
Political Power: 3
He has no interest in politics. He once independently brought back Randal and Laika, leaders of the rebellion, endangering the Warden Household’s noble standing.
Popularity: 5
He is a big brother figure and is well-liked by soldiers. Hal, his junior at the military academy, even dropped out of school to follow him.
Relation: Younger Brother of Yanna, and elder brother of Arc and Minerva.
Career:
Tyr serves as a military officer in Mikanda, responsible for all military matters. Having no interest in being a merchant, he enrolled in the kingdom’s military academy but was disillusioned by its reliance on family connections and returned home.
Traits:
Like Yanna, he rarely asserts his opinions. However, when he does, he is stubborn and unyielding, leading to arguments with Arc and Minerva (such as over the Randal issue and the university’s founding). He feels no particular resentment about Arc being the lord and is proud of his capable younger brother. This pride stems from his confidence that no one can surpass him in military matters.
Arc Warden (Baron)
Leadership: 7
Though placed in Mikanda, a completely new environment, he successfully governs the territory by winning over the residents.
Combat Strength: 4
Intelligence: 6
He is also a top-tier merchant. He has mastered general education and etiquette as a noble, capable of holding conversations with experts in any field.
Political Power: 7
He is transforming the vast, undeveloped land of Mikanda into a prosperous area. He assigns personnel appropriately, entrusting administration to his sister Yanna, military matters to his brother Tyr, and education to his sister Minerva, but often makes important decisions himself. He excels at analyzing current information and predicting future events, allowing him to act ahead of political changes or wars.
Popularity: 5
Like his father, he is often shunned by other nobles, but he has built close relationships with royals such as Leo, Casablanca, and Marie. After moving to Mikanda, despite the inconvenience of the land, a number of people from the former Warden territory followed him. He has earned a certain level of trust from the residents of Mikanda, especially those in the second city, who are particularly grateful to Arc for reducing their taxes.
Relation: Head of the Warden Household, Baron.
Career:
He traveled as a merchant across various regions. Later, he was called back by his father to assist with noble duties and gradually developed his abilities as a lord. After becoming the lord of Mikanda, he actively pursued the development of the land and worked to discover new talent.
Personality & Values:
He is highly rational, typical of a merchant. He is willing to employ anyone, even those like the gladiator Yulia or the heretical Sheeb Order, as long as they prove useful, which sets him apart from other nobles. During the campaign against Leo, he left the battlefield independently, showing little loyalty to the kingdom, acting solely for the benefit of the Warden Household.
Although he is aware of his rational nature, there are also emotional sides to him, such as submitting to Leo’s threats or executing Marquis Ivan alone in revenge for his father.
Minerva Warden – Education Officer, Arc’s Sister
Leadership: 2
Military Strength: 4
She diligently practices swordsmanship but, according to Yulia, “her swordsmanship is good, but it lacks weight”.
Intelligence: 6
She received top-tier education as a merchant and noble’s daughter. Unlike her siblings, who ventured out for independent training, Minerva stayed by her father’s side, undergoing intensive education. She possesses a wide range of knowledge, from academics to horse riding and the arts.
Political Power: 6
She believes education is the foundation of territorial development and implemented the first university in the kingdom, combining schools for adventurers and soldiers. She also teaches at the university herself.
Popularity: 5
Although not prominent, she has a gentle nature and is cherished by her siblings. She was particularly loved by Laika, whom she personally nursed back to health during Laika’s nightmares. She leads a modest life and is considered a model of noblewomanly virtue.
Relation: Youngest in the Warden Household. Serves as the Education Officer in Mikanda.
Career:
Unlike her siblings, who eventually became independent, she stayed by her father’s side, receiving education. In Mikanda, she is responsible for all matters concerning education.
Personality & Values:
She is very kind and leads a modest life. She harbors slight feelings of inferiority towards her talented siblings and is strict with herself. Her close bond with her siblings compensates for her feelings of isolation during childhood, especially her strong attachment to Arc, with whom she has a two-year age gap, sometimes showing jealousy towards women around Arc due to her possessive nature.
Hangue Warden
Leadership: 5
As the head of the Warden Trading Company, he successfully manages merchants throughout the kingdom.
Combat Ability: 2
Intellect: 5
He never misses a business opportunity.
Political Power: 5
He holds significant influence within the Merchant Guild and the broader economy.
Popularity: 7
He is a calm, mild-mannered person who avoids creating enemies, embodying the traits of a true merchant. As the representative of the kingdom’s largest trading company, he wields strong influence in the Merchant Guild, but rarely exercises his power. His motto is “profit for everyone”, avoiding forceful or underhanded tactics, which has earned him immense trust among other merchants and trade companies.
Family Connection: Head of the Warden Trading Company, cousin to Arc.
History:
Hang inherited the trading company from his uncle, the late Baron Warden, so that the Warden nobles could focus on their duties. He allows merchants under his company a great deal of autonomy, and while his personal reputation is considered “average,” the company itself continues to grow. His trading company financially supports Arc’s development of Mikanda. During the campaign against Leo, he attached himself to the kingdom’s army and made significant profits, but when the kingdom’s forces were defeated, he faced grave danger, only to be rescued by Arc and his companions.
