“Ah. Today, I have to accompany them for the inspection of the Royal Academy.”  (Harold)

It was the fifth day since the Baltian Holy Kingdom’s delegation arrived in our kingdom. As the host, I had been accompanying the delegation’s daily engagements, and because I was exhausted, I found myself collapsing on the table from the morning.

“Your Highness Harold, if you don’t start getting ready soon, Milady will arrive, you know?” (Monica)

“That’s right!” (Harold)

No matter how tired I am, greeting my most cherished fiancée is a different matter.

I hurriedly changed my clothes and eagerly headed toward the entrance.

Then…

“…Your Highness Harold. I have a message from His Eminence Salvatori…!?” (??)
“It’s rude to carelessly stand behind His Highness.” (Monica)

Without a sound, Monica placed the blade of her dagger knife against the neck of Lorenzo’s messenger, who had approached me from behind.

What a fool. There’s no way a mere spy from the Holy Kingdom could stand a chance against Monica, who serves as an intelligence officer for the Chevalier Household.

“And? What did His Eminence Salvatori say?” (Harold)

“Y-yes. He asked, ‘After today’s inspection of the Royal Academy and the meeting with the headmaster, could you please guide her here?’” (??)

The messenger somehow managed to maintain his composure and handed me a piece of paper, relaying the message.

I see. As I thought, the ‘Saintess Kidnapping Incident’ will take place at the Royal Academy, just like in the ‘Enhaz’ scenario. Well, that would be most convenient for that man.

“Tell His Eminence Salvatori, ‘Understood.’” (Harold)

“…E-excuse me.” (??)

Finally released by Monica, the messenger hurriedly left, almost fleeing the scene.

“Even so, it seems the Holy Kingdom is short on capable personnel. I even went out of my way to create an opening for him, yet he didn’t notice and just let it happen.” (Monica)

Monica waved what seemed to be a piece of cloth and spoke expressionlessly.

When that messenger reports back to Lorenzo, he’s sure to feel humiliated with his backside fully exposed. Monica really is ruthless.

“Well then. Since that’s how it is, may I ask you for a favor?” (Harold)

“Leave it to me.” (Monica)

With a respectful bow, Monica stepped away from my side.

“Cas, let’s go pick up Xandra by ourselves, okay?” (Harold)

“Sure!” (Casparleague)

Cas, perched on my shoulder, smiled and rubbed her cheek against mine.

“And so, here at the Royal Academy, we accept many outstanding students from abroad, fostering interactions among students regardless of their social status.” (??)

I’m leading the delegation and listening to the headmaster’s talk, but yeah, I’m incredibly sleepy. It’s partly because I’ve been tired recently, but mostly because the talk itself is boring.

Yet, not only Christia but also Wilfred was listening attentively. I wondered what part of this dull conversation was supposed to be engaging.

“Hehe… Haru-sama, please endure a little longer.” (Alexandra)

“Ugh…” (Harold)

Xandra whispered in my ear with a wry smile, and I straightened my back.

Thankfully, ever since the match with Carla, she has been accompanying me every day to these inspections with the delegation.

“Nnn… munch, munch… I can’t eat anymore, nyan…” (Casparleague)

And there’s Cas, who’s dozing off, mumbling as if oblivious to our situation, in his form as the ‘Jet-Black Shield Casparleague’. However, since he wasn’t receiving any SP from me, he remained in his miniature size and fit snugly in the inner pocket of my coat.

Once everything is over today, I’ll make sure to prepare lots of sweets for Cas.

By the way, Carla was not present among the delegation. As expected, due to her rude attitude towards Christia during the recent match, she was reprimanded and was currently under house arrest in a room in the royal palace until the day of her departure. Once she returned to the Holy Kingdom, it seemed she would face official punishment.

Who made such a decision, you ask? Of course, it was the two responsible parties, Christia and Lorenzo. Especially Christia’s anger was fierce, and even Lorenzo hurriedly tried to calm her down, as Monica heard from the priest. In other words… she has separated her own sword and shield that would protect her.

“Now then, we will guide you through the Academy.” (??)

Finally, the headmaster’s talk ended, and we left the reception room.

At that moment…

“Saintess… Actually, after this inspection is over, there is something I would like to discuss with you. May I have a moment of your time?” (Harold)

While Wilfred was looking away, I quietly whispered to her.

“Hehe… from Your Highness Harold to me, is it?” (Christia)

“Yes.” (Harold)

I nodded with a serious expression as Christia glanced at Xandra and gave a knowing smile. Incidentally, Xandra was gazing out the window at this moment, unaware of what was happening here.

“If you gaze at me with such passionate eyes and ask, I can’t refuse. Well then, will you abduct me?” (Christia)

“Leave it to me.” (Harold)

I made an exaggerated gesture. I took her outstretched hand and slipped away unnoticed.
