Well escort ‘legally’ requires that there is no selling of sex. At least here in the states.

If you don’t mind being archaic, ‘madam’ use to refer to ladies of the night.

Or just “ladies of the night”. There was one singer here that more or less popularized an expression that translates roughly as “cinderellas on sale and the corner”.

    Thanks for the chapter.

“I stop putting soy sauce when eating rice since I was 13. Do you eat soy sauce with rice (not for sushi meals though)?”

I personally find even low sodium soy sauce a bit too salty for the pallet on its own and do not use it with plain rice. I prefer sweeter teriyaki sauces if i have nothing else to eat with the rice.

Nicely done. I think Harlot’s is fine. It’s that border anyway,. Since Nobles come down here they could either be having fun with some paid companionship or more intimate. I think the Harlots actually set up the rules for themselves. So you could have some Escorts and then others as prostitutes. Now a days though Harlot and prostitution mean the same thing.

And since Sirius mentioned the “dark side” of the community, it’s more likely they are hookers instead.

This family knows what’s up, protect Karen’s Eyes! Good job Hokuto and when you can’t hold on any longer the master has your back.

Oh yeah Thanks for the chapter 🙂

There are 12 chapters for this arc, and it is the latest arc in the series. The last raw chapter was published in October 2018, so I’ve to start thinking about new novel translate when I’m almost catch up with the latest chapter.

“…It looks like the hurdles for Reus have gone up again.” (Sirius)

“But, the other day, that boy said that he already got used to Hokuto-san’s movements, so that is good in a sense, right?” (Emilia)

“That’s true. Well then, what shall we make today?” (Reus)

    “Honey–….” (Karen)

    “Other than honey.” (Sirius)

    “Muuu!” (Karen)

    =================================

“That’s true. Well then, what shall we make today?” (Reus)

This should be Sirius’s line, right? 🤔

Although i agree that whore isn’t a great word, I think that “prostitute” is fine? Isn’t it like the most neutral word that people use to qualify women with that kind of job?

Prostitute means selling females selling their body but the word have many synonymous words but differ in meaning once separated and used in another way… Example a courtesan is basically a prostitute but it could also mean as a female host or a female who attends to a person inside an inn… Well here the word harlot is used to signify the word “prostitute” in a roundabout way…

Why did I just gave a lesson in literature??

I looked at the definition of courtesan, and they are entertaining high end customers. So, I’m not sure if this word is suitable since the setting is in shabby looking village.

Thank for the chapter. When Reus said “the snow is falling down?”. I thought that sounded familiar. Then I looked up and realize it was title to a song that I heard a long time ago. I wonder if there is princess in this kingdom?

So these countries are mostly city-states? I say “mostly” because both the villages where Sirius was born and where the former servant family live at should belong to some country. Still, I find it weird that Sandor manages to grow being a five-walled city; they’d have to do periodical mass relocations, wall tearing and wall building, otherwise they would be constrained.
